Tiger Scouts is a yearlong program, for boys who have completed Kindergarten or are 7 years old. After a Tiger Scout has completed the Bobcat Badge
, he may start to work on his Tiger Rank.
The Tiger Scout program introduces young boys to the fun and excitement of Cub Scouts. As the parent, or guardian, you will be with your child every step of the way; helping him, guiding him, and learning with him through various games, events, and activities.
The Tiger Scout program is made up of various activities, called Adventures. Some of these will need to be completed at home, with you, while others will be completed at den meetings, pack meetings, or at outings. There is no required level of competency for an Adventure to be marked as completed or to earn rank; Cub Scouts simply do their best. Proficiency in skills will be acquired over time.
To earn his rank, a Tiger Scout will need to complete 7 Adventures and exercises in the pamphlet found in the Tiger handbook. A tiger's adult partner is required to be with the scout at every den meeting, pack meeting, and at every outing.
